Scenes of men digging holes, stacks of coins, and dust are interspersed with Mediterranean landscapes, global advertisements and insects. These images revolve around a core structure consisting of the life cycle of a family of rats, and comment upon progressive loneliness and estrangement in the face of increasing population density.
